 Saqqarah was formed in Brittany in 1992 by Patrice Mauvieux (guitars) and Lou Van Der Cruyssen (Vocals), Hervé Juguet (Bass guitar), Dominique Renault (drums) and Christophe Bastien (keyboards). All five of them had the same passion for progressive rock.

1994 - First CD 3 titles Peti Tra Eref Su (self produced) receives favorable critics from radio stations.

Christophe Bastien leaves the band just after the release of the album.

1995 - Saqqarah starts the recording of a new album called Genese which is a long voyage from the age of humanity till the becoming of an extra-terrestrial life.

Distribued by MSI and Musea, the album once again receives favorable critics from the press.

French singer Lou Van der Cruyssen leaves the band for Egypt.

2002 - Jack Feys joins Saqqarah on vocals. From now on, the lyrics are in English. Certains tracks from Genese are revisited and some Pink Floyd songs are introduced in the track-list.

2005 - The Awakening, the third CD is released. Recorded at BEL Studio in Britanny. This new production joins Musea.

2016/2017 - After a number of concerts, Jean-Luc Le Pogam joins the band on vocals for the Flying Sausages experience. Together, they release Me zo Ganet e Kreiz ar Mor.(a poem of Yann-Ber Calloc’h), a project initiated by a magazine.

2018 - Jean-Luc becomes Saqqarah’s lead singer/guitar/percussion. Here starts the writing of The Runaway, 11 tracks about a journey through wars.

2020 - Covid !

2023 - The album is recorded, mixed and mastered at BEL Studio from April to December.

2024 - January : Hervé Juguet is replaced by Louis Mira on bass guitar.

March 1st, The Runaway is finally released.
